Véritable héros de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, ce film-hommage retrace les exploits de Léo Major qui, a réussi à libérer, à lui seul, la ville hollandaise de Zwolle (50,000 habitants) de l'emprise des nazis. Bien que vénéré aux Pays-Bas - une avenue lui a été consacrée et ses exploits sont commémorés et célébrés chaque année - ses glorieuses prouesses sont encore méconnues au Québec.
